A lot was expected from Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara, but despite collecting good numbers on Independence Day, film dropped badly over the weekend.
Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan starrer managed a decent opening despite stiff competition from Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express, however bad word of mouth brought down the film's business below expectations.
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara witnessed a good start on Thursday, the day of its release, and collected INR 11 crore at the Box Office.
Although the movie has a wide opening on Friday, it failed to gather good footfalls and fetched a mere amount of INR 10.25 crore. Even Saturday and Sunday was no better. The film minted INR 8.75 crore on Saturday followed by INR 10.25 on Sunday, taking its overall 4 days collection to INR 40.25 crore at the domestic Box Office.
Given the considerable drop in film's collection over the weekend, it is expected to drop further on weekdays. And, it seems that film will hardly reach INR 65-70 crore in its lifetime business.
Meanwhile, Chennai Express remains unaffected by Balaji Motion Pictures' Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara, which is continuing to do steady business at the ticket counters.
