Excellent reviews from critics raised the expectations of the cine-watchers from Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Lootera, however film's total collection after 6 days of its release proves that critics' rating is not the true reflection of film's business at the Box Office.
Despite that Vikramaditya Motwane second film had it all – beautiful sets, costumes, top notch cinematography and clever mix of vintage and modern influences, the heart touching romantic saga failed to mesmerize the audience. The film which had managed to garner a decent amount of INR 18.75 crore in its opening weekend, saw considerable dip on weekdays.
After collecting a sum of INR 7.35 crore on Sunday, the film's collection dropped drastically to INR 2.70 crore on Monday. Lootera business falls further on Tuesday and the film raked in a mere sum of INR 2.15 crore followed by INR 1.90 crore on Wednesday, taking its overall 6 day collection to INR 25.50 crore at the domestic Box Office.
Meanwhile, the romantic saga could not grab big figures in international markets as well. The overseas collection of Lootera stands at INR 4.75 crore, which takes its worldwide collection to INR 30.25 crore.
Seeing the current scenario, it seems that the film will finish with poor number of INR 27 crore in its first week and find it quite difficult to add valuable numbers in its second weekend.
