Chennai Express 4-day worldwide box office collection - Earns 163 crores

Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, Chennai Express, is successfully breaking box-office records day after day. After entering the 100 crore club at the Domestic scale in mere three days of its release, the Rohit Shetty directorial venture is still going strong.
 
The movie made a business of INR 12.62 crore on its first Monday, making it the second highest non-holiday grosser on Monday after Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD) which collected a total of INR 13 crore on its first Monday.
 
The movie not only made incredible business in India, but its overseas collection too was record breaking and tremendous. According to well-known trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, Chennai Express’s total collection till date, adding Monday's collection has come upto INR 113.04 crore at the domestic Box-Office.
 
The film made a total business of INR 6.75 crore on Thursday (paid previews), INR 33.12 crore on the opening day (Friday), INR 28.05 crore on Saturday, INR 32.50 crore on Sunday and INR 12.62 crore on Monday.

On the international scale, the film kick started with a bang at the overseas Box-Office. Chennai Express broke records of all previous Bollywood movies including Shahrukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.

Shahrukh enjoys a marvellous fan following in the overseas market and six of his films have already made it to the top overseas grosser list. Chennai Express will soon be joining the list. The opening weekend collection of the movie in the overseas market is INR 50.47 crore ($ 8.25 million).

According to Taran Adarsh, the country-wise breakup of the film is, INR 8.78 crore (£ 9, 34,118) in UK, INR 15.15 crore ($ 24, 75,000) in US-Canada, INR 12.88 crore (AED 77, 30,000) in UAE-GCC, INR 2.20 crore ($ 3, 60,000) in Singapore, INR 1.84 crore ($ 3,00,000) in Pakistan, INR 2.14 crore (A$ 3,85,262) in Australia, INR 60.05 lakh (NZ$ 1,23,478) in New Zealand and INR 16.52 lakh (FJD 51,702) in Fiji.

The overall business made by the movie in domestic and overseas market after the opening weekend is INR 163.51 crore.
